Having a night in with your girlfriends? The perfect silk dress with hints of pastel found here, and this amazing popcorn recipe we found on The Glitter Guide! Now all you need is some bubbly and laughter = the perfect eve!

White Chocolate Confetti Popcorn Recipe:
-1/2 tablespoon canola oil
-1/2 cup popcorn kernels
-Salt
-6 ounces white chocolate, chopped
-1/4 cup confetti sprinkles

1. In a medium saucepan, pour in canola oil and heat over medium-heat. When oil is hot, add popcorn kernels, making sure all the kernels are touching the bottom of the pan. Cover with a lid and wait until you hear kernels start to pop. Once they commence, grab the pan; while simultaneously holding down the lid, give it a good shake. Return pan to the stove and repeat a few times. This will ensure that all of the kernels pop. When popcorn is done, turn off heat, transfer to a medium bowl, and add a few pinches of salt.

2. Add about 1-inch of water to a double boiler (or a saucepan with a metal bowl nestled atop). Note: Be sure your bowl is completely dry. Heat over medium-low, watching the chocolate the entire time. White chocolate has a lower melting point, so it can seize easily. When chocolate is melted, stir until smooth.

3. In a few batches, pour chocolate over popcorn, mixing gently to coat each kernel lightly.

4. Evenly spread popcorn onto a baking sheet and add confetti sprinkles. Let popcorn sit for 3-4 hours (or until dry).

It’s a little chilly in New York but we are hoping Spring makes it way back soon! What about some minty nails from The Beauty Department + a lacy top like this one?

TOOLS: Turquoise nail polish, gold leafing sheets (available at your local art supply stores or see link below), clear top coat, nail file, q-tip (regular or pointed).

STEPS:

Select a good turquoise polish. I used this one, but to be honest you can use any color that you think goes well with gold. (It’s really pretty with white + coral!)
Paint all of your nails with the base color you choose.
Gold leaf sheets (I used these) are VERY delicate so make sure your hands are clean + dry before handling. They tear so easily! Use scissors to cut small triangle shapes that will fit the corners of your nails. You want to cover about 1/3 of your nail, so make your triangles about that size.
Wet a q-tip and use that to pick up your gold triangle. Don’t try to pick them up with your fingers– you’ll crumble them and that’s a bummer!
Lay the gold leaf triangle on the corner of the nail. You want to work quickly so the leafing sticks to the polish. The polish should be dry but still slightly tacky. If it’s too dry, put a very thin layer of clear top coat down before laying the leaf on the nail.
Smooth over the gold leaf with a clean dry q-tip to remove wrinkles/bubbles. If you mess up and chip off a piece of gold, it’s totally fine! Gold leafing is so thin that you can just lay another piece over the messed up part and it blends right in.
Use a nail file to gently file off the excess just like you would with nail stickers!
Finish with a quick drying clear coat to lock the gold leafing down!

We love this little gem we found on P.S. I made this ….perfect to wear with your summer dress, don’t you think?

To create:

Cut a piece of leather approximately 1/2” wide and 2.5-3 ft long. Add a bright cord(or ribbon) and ball chain. Knot all three materials onto a hair elastic and braid. Once you have a braid long enough to wrap around your head, knot off on the other end of the hair elastic. Be sure to pull tight to make sure it’s secure. Snip the end and you’re ready to dazzle with that new spring dress….like this one!. PS if you are in New York City or Palm Beach Gardens this week you can visit Erika Domesek at Saks Fifth Avenue.
